Our Fall/Winter/Spring Series weaves direct interventions into CCPT. Make sure you understand this integration to make subsequent trainings easier to follow. This training will show you how.
Learn when to stay with CCPT and when/how to weave in directive strategies AND what your clients need from you and the playroom. Previous knowledge of CCPT is encouraged. 🧸

Learning Objectives
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
✅ Describe the research related to therapist burnout and assess areas of self-care needs
✅ Describe regulation, attachment, the brain, and the importance of each for the play therapist and the play therapy client
✅ List the 4 main areas of the therapeutic powers of play
✅ Explain the basic concepts of CCPT and identify when, why, and how to incorporate directive interventions
✅ Identify effective ways to respond to common challenges experienced by the play therapist
✅ Create an organization system for a therapeutic playroom for a variety of populations
🎨 Participants will be required to create various projects during the 4 hour session. In order to receive CE credit, participants will be asked to break off into ZOOM groups to share their projects. COME PREPARED WITH PAPER, MARKERS, CRAYONS AND ANY ADDITIONAL TOOLS YOU MAY WISH TO USE DURING THE TRAINING. FULL PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED.

She is a therapist for children, teens and adults and enjoys weaving play therapy and other expressive modalities into sessions when appropriate.
