🌺 This training will be available LIVE IN PERSON (19420 Golf Vista Plaza #330, Lansdowne, VA 20176) for the first 12 people who register. Participants will be awarded 4 contact hours.
Enjoy a small group experience with 3 different tangible sand trays and one virtual sand tray. We will live stream from this small group gathering, so participants must be prepared to participate and share.
It is important that participants have been trained in poly vagal theory. Feel free to take out Home Study Version first if you need to.
🌼 Taking the Live Webinar? You will have the opportunity to go to your own sand tray OR observe the prompts in real time from the webcam in the counseling practice.
🎯 We gave you SIX WEEKS in between the initial Poly Vagal Theory training and this hands on Sand Tray Version to digest the info presented AND practice the art/mind body related prompts as well. Poly Vagal training from another provider can be used as a foundation to take this class, but knowledge in this area is necessary as a pre-requisite.
🎨 This training will include self care activities to help nurture the person within the therapist.
An exam with a passing score of 80% is required for all Virtual Live Webinar & Home Study Non Contact CEs. Participants may re-take the exam if needed until a passing score of 80% is achieved. All personal info related to our students including email addresses, exam scores, etc remains confidential within the Willow's Crown.
Live trainings are video recorded. Participants will have access to the recordings after the event for future reference and are made available for Home Study purchase by others. All who sign up for and participate in live in person or live webinar trainings consent to being video recorded.
Learning Objectives
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

✅ Explain how sandtray therapy relates to brain integration in a play therapy session

✅ Use 5 sandtray prompts for promoting exploration of different nervous system states

About Your Teacher, Gabrielle Anderson, LMFT, RPT-S™
Gabrielle Anderson, LMFT, RPT-S™, the teacher for this training is a previous board member for the Virginia Play Therapy Association. She is a therapist for children, teens and adults and enjoys weaving play therapy and other expressive modalities into sessions when appropriate.
