COVID in the Playroom
The effects of COVID on children, parents and the play therapist are still mounting. Research is still pouring in with the multilayered impact that the pandemic has had on all ages. Although we hoped that the pandemic would stay contained within quarantine, this does not appear to be true.
Join us as we review the literature with you and review what appears to be happening to our play therapy children emotionally, developmentally, academically and socially. We will give you updated info as well as tools to use in the playroom to help children cope and heal.

✅ Identify 3 potential ways that COVID or associated trauma can manifest in a child’s behavioral or emotional regulation
✅ Identify the main branches of the nervous system and explain why understanding regulation is essential to practicing play therapy
✅ Describe 2 interventions for exploring and processing COVID trauma in the playroom

🍎 An exam with a passing score of 80% is required for all Virtual Live Webinar & Home Study CEs. Participants may re-take the exam if needed until a passing score of 80% is achieved. All personal info related to our students including email addresses, exam scores, etc remains confidential within the Willow's Crown.
👩🏻💻 Live trainings are video recorded. All who sign up for and participate in live in person or live webinar trainings consent to being video recorded. Participants will have access to the recordings after the event for future reference and are made available for Home Study purchase by others.

About Your Teacher, Gabrielle Anderson, LMFT, RPT-S™
Gabrielle Anderson, LMFT, RPT-S™, the teacher for this training is a previous board member for the Virginia Play Therapy Association. She is a therapist for children, teens and adults and enjoys weaving play therapy and other expressive modalities into sessions when appropriate.
