If you supervise therapists who see clients of varying ages, this training is for you! We will spend time on therapy with children, teens and adults with tangible self-observation tools to give to your supervisees.
Although play therapy models will be explored as part of the curriculum, play therapy experience is not necessary.
Learning Objectives
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
✅ Explore ways to minimize anxiety and worry in the supervisor by applying strategies from the apprenticeship model
✅ Assess ways to increase self care in the supervisor
✅ Explain ways to turn talk and play therapy observations into valuable growth and self assessment tools for supervisees.
✅ Describe creative strategies to implement during group supervision to help make it feel both fun and educational
✅ Describe with confidence where a supervisee is developmentally and what they need from the supervisor by applying strategies from the developmental model
✅ Explore the similarities between the Developmental Supervision Model AND the Ecosystemic Play Therapy Model

⏱️ NBCC requires FULL attendance in order to receive CE credit. No partial credit can be granted. Willows Crown requires that all cameras are on during the entire training. Attendance is taken throughout each training.

🍎 NBCC Home Study CEs: An exam with a passing score of 80% is required for all self paced home study programs. Participants may re-take the exam if needed until a passing score of 80% is achieved. About Your Teacher, Gabrielle Anderson, LMFT, RPT-S™

Gabrielle Anderson, LMFT, RPT-S™, the teacher for this training is a previous board member for the Virginia Play Therapy Association. She is a therapist for children, teens and adults and enjoys weaving play therapy and other expressive modalities into sessions when appropriate. Gabrielle also runs supervision groups for those in training to become an RPT™. Reach out to Gabrielle if you wish to inquire about participating.
She is the owner of the Family Therapy Center of Northern Virginia, llc and owner of The WIllow's Crown Meditation Studio and Training Facility, llc. She has a specialty in stress management, anxiety and trauma with her private practice clients and utilizes brain based Mindful Meditation when appropriate. She also teaches virtual meditation to therapists, community members and other adults outside of the counseling practice.
